Who we are

This website is operated by Carratt's Garden Maintenance ("we", "us", "our"), providing garden maintenance services across Grimsby, Cleethorpes and the surrounding villages.

What data we collect

We collect personal data in two ways:

• When you contact us. If you email or call us for a quote, we receive whatever details you choose to share — typically your name, contact details and information about the work you'd like done. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work.
• When you browse this website. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and general location (derived from IP address). See "Cookies & Google Analytics" below.

Cookies & Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google, to help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, and approximate location.

We do not load Google Analytics, and no analytics cookies are set, until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown when you first visit. If you click "Reject", or take no action, Google Analytics stays switched off. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of this site.

This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), which involves your browser making a request to Google's servers and sharing your IP address. How we use your data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing without your permission.

Who we share data with

We don't sell or rent your personal data. The only third party we share data with is Google, via Google Analytics, and only once you've consented to analytics cookies. Google may process this data outside the UK; Google's standard contractual safeguards apply to such transfers.

How long we keep data

Enquiry and job-related details are kept only as long as needed to provide our services and meet any legal or accounting obligations, after which they're deleted. Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is retained according to our Google Analytics settings, currently 14 months, after which it's automatically deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete your data
• Object to or restrict how we use your data
• Withdraw consent for cookies at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer
